Paklan was a forest planet,[3] located in the Paklan system in the Nuiri sector of the Outer Rim.[1] In 20 BBY, the Nightbrothers Darth Maul and Savage Opress took refuge on the planet after having a bounty posted on their heads by the Gossam Ja'Boag, the leader of the Rim Commercial Mining corporation. After Zika led a band of bounty hunters to the two's location in a local diner, Savage and Maul brutally killed their assailants before fleeing the planet.[3]
