"When you're peckish but on a budget, try some of Pailia's Portion Bread. Just add water!"
―Boz Vega, presenting Arena sponsors — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

Pailia's Portion Bread was a type of portion bread that required the addition of water prior to its consumption.[1] In 9 ABY,[2] the food was advertised as a budget meal by the Dowutin announcer Boz Vega at the competitive sporting show Hunters of the Outer Rim[1] on the planet Vespaara.[3] Following the construction of Coruscant Underworld—a battlefield[4] at the Grand Arena[5] designed after the dark underbelly of[4] the planet[6] Coruscant—around the same time,[4] a neon signage in Aurebesh was displayed within it and advertised Pailia's Portion Bread.[1]

Behind the scenes

Pailia's Portion Bread was first introduced in the video game Star Wars: Hunters, which was developed by NaturalMotion's BossAlien[1] and initially published by Zynga on November 16, 2021, as a soft launch[7] before the global release on June 4, 2024.[8] The game was later shut down on October 1, 2025.[9] It was initially mentioned in one of the interchangeable audio lines Vega says during gameplay.[1] Pailia's Portion Bread later received confirmation on its spelling via an Aurebesh signage on the Coruscant Underworld map[1]—added to the game on January 27, 2025[10]—though the capitalization remains uncertain.[1]
