The "Paiger" was a customized proton bomb developed by Rose Tico of the Resistance's Engineering Corps[1] in 35 ABY.[2] It was designed to be compatible with B-wing and Y-wing starfighters. The weapon was nicknamed after Rose's late sister, Paige Tico.[1]
Behind the scenes
The "Paiger" was first mentioned in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The bomb is mistakenly referred to as "Paige" in the English version of "The Resistance," a part of De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia series,[3] which was originally released in Spanish on December 21, 2021.[4]
