"It's not much. You know, the Jedi and our rules about possession. I can't give you things, but I can give you a piece of me."
―Anakin Skywalker gives the pendant to Padmé Amidala[1]

Shortly after the First Battle of Geonosis, the newly knighted Anakin Skywalker created a pendant for his wife Padmé Amidala. He gave it to her as a gift shortly after he was granted the rank of Jedi Knight while they went on a date within Uhmandasee Market. The necklace was created from Skywalker's discarded padawan braid which was encased in a carbonite disk which was then placed into a gold pendant.[1]

Later during the same year, Padmé was wearing the pendant during a mission to Cato Neimoidia when she was contacted by her husband so that self-deleting files provided by Neimoidian Royal Guard Ruug Quarnom that could prove the Galactic Republic innocent in the Cadesura disaster could be sent to the Jedi High Council to be analyzed.[1]
