Packbulls were a non-sentient species domesticated by the Chiss. Packbulls were known to "whinny", a sound that sky-walker Che'ri drew a comparison to for the accents of the Paccosh when speaking Minnisiat. Packbulls were also protective of their fields, as exemplified by the expression "wandering into the packbull's field alone."[1]
