Paaloc incense was a type of incense that was reserved for only the absolute highest-ranked members of the Yuuzhan Vong caste system. Its scent was said to evoke memories of Yuuzhan'tar, the Yuuzhan Vong's ancestral homeworld.[1] Lord Shimrra burned the incense within his citadel.
Because of its rarity, paaloc was outlawed amongst the lower castes; the penalty of execution awaited any Yuuzhan Vong of insufficient status caught possessing the substance.
