A PT-240 proton torpedo was a model of proton torpedo that could be equipped to starships. Equipping an EML-850 light freighter with PT-240 proton torpedoes cost two thousand and five hundred credits and required a X-FP-C28 ship computer, twenty five units of quadanium steel, and twelve enhanced durasteel hulls.[1]
During 3 ABY[2] the thief Kay Vess paid for the services of a starship mechanic to equip the Trailblazer, her EML-850 light freighter, to launch PT-240 proton torpedo as well as providing materials to install it's launcher.[1]

PT-240 proton torpedoes appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. In the game, all torpedoes use the same model however each type of torpedo has a unique icon.[1]
