Ourim Flu was a deadly disease that was known in the galaxy during the Galactic Civil War.[1]
An outbreak of Ourim Flu occurred on several planets in the galaxy sometime after the Battle of Yavin. The Black Sun criminal syndicate intended to take the opportunity of the outbreak to make money by tainting a major shipment of medicinal spice to addict the sick people to their chemicals. However, the scheme was discovered by a man named Valance Serth. Serth hired a group of spacers who destroyed the Black Sun transport carrying the tainted spice.[1]
