Orthodontia was the study and practice of medicine relating to teeth. During the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire,[1] the xenopathologist[2] and combat medic Archiban Kimble, also known as Doc, practiced orthodontia for a brief time on the planet Rodia.[1]

Orthodontia is first mentioned in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, released by BioWare in 2011, in the message "Healthy teeth" from the Jedi Knight class's companion character Doc. Only female players who are pursuing a romance with Doc will receive the message.[1]
