Oro wood

Oro woods were once-famous trees from Alderaan. They grew to be hundreds of feet tall and were covered in rainbow-colored glowing lichen. They grew on only a dozen small islands and were wiped out when the first Death Star destroyed the planet, although a number of them were transplanted to Coruscant. Red deer and cairoka birds lived within the oro woods.

Orowood on Coruscant was named after them.
