Long[1] before 230 BBY,[2] the Umbaran[1] female[3] Jedi youngling Orla Jareni was part of a group of younglings within the Jedi Order at the Jedi Temple on[1] the Core Worlds[4] planet Coruscant. During one of the planet's rare snowfalls, Jedi[1] Grand Master[4] Yoda took the group onto the Temple's roof to play in the snow. Whilst Jareni played, she went too close to the side of the roof, but was prevented from falling off by Yoda, who caught her with his walking stick.[1]
By 258 BBY,[5] Jareni had become a Padawan.[6] In 230 BBY,[2] while investigating a disturbance on the Galactic Republic space station Starlight Beacon, Jareni noticed the station's climate controls were failing and saw her breath as faint gray puffs. The sight made her smile, as it reminded her of when she and her youngling group had gone to the Temple's roof.[1]
Behind the scenes
Orla Jareni's youngling group was mentioned in the 2022 novel The High Republic: The Fallen Star, written by Claudia Gray as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[7]
