Orinackra was a prison planet located within the Wild Space of the galaxy.
Description
View of the interior of the Imperial Detention Center.
Orinackra surface was a barren wasteland with its most distinct features being the large valleys made of stone.[1] This feature made it a perfect planet for prisoners since the valleys were large mazes with many dead ends.
An outcropping had a shuttle carrier station built, on which one could approach the entrance to the Imperial Detention Center. Nearby was a valley where ships could land.[1]
History
Kyle Katarn daringly undertook a rescue mission during the Galactic Civil War.
In the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire maintained the Imperial Detention Center there.[1] Though not as famous, Orinackra was an easy comparison to more famous prisons such as Kessel and Oovo IV. Crix Madine, an Imperial general who had attempted to defect to the Rebel Alliance during the Dark Trooper crisis, was captured on the Arc Hammer for leaking valuable information to the rebels. He was put in the facility awaiting execution.
As the information given by Madine was essential to the Alliance, the Moldy Crow was sent there, and agent Kyle Katarn daringly rescued him.[1]
Behind the scenes

Orinackra first appeared in the video game Star Wars: Dark Forces. An entire level of the game was dedicated to the locale, although players only briefly moved about the planet's surface, as the majority of the level took place inside an Imperial detention facility.
