An orbital platform was an item of technology with military use. Xim the Despot used orbital platforms during the Third Battle of Vontor, but they were vaporized by enemy Klatooinian, Nikto, and Vodran soldiers. Xim's personal platform was the only one that wasn't destroyed. The Ruurian historian Skynx managed to examine one war droid recovered from this platform.
