The Opitha Tren system was located in the freestanding subsectors portion of the Mid Rim.[1] It was home to the sentient Tren species.[2][3]
Behind the scenes
The Opitha Tren system was introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which placed it in grid square J-15.[1] Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated on the Jedi Council Forums of TheForce.net that Opitha Tren was created for "bookkeeping purposes" so that every sector listed in the Online Companion would have at least one corresponding system,[4] despite the fact that Opitha Tren is not actually assigned a specific sector by the Online Companion.[1]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the Opitha Tren system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Tren species.

The others are all established worlds." (backup link)
