"Oh, and you got another message about two hours ago from a Juahir Madras."
"Juahir Madras?"
"Yes, Governor, from the Oovo Four detention center."
―A receptionist and Governor Arihnda Pryce — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[2]

The Oovo Four detention center was located on[1] the prison moon[3] Oovo 4. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the prisoners held there were restrained with specialized durasteel restraints manufactured by convicts on the Delrian Prison Planet.[4] Governor Arihnda Pryce was told by a receptionist in her Coruscant office that she had received about twenty messages over the past year from her old friend Juahir Madras, who was in the detention center.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Oovo Four detention center was mentioned canonically in the 2017 novel Thrawn, written by Timothy Zahn.[1] The detention center was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via Star Wars: Episode I Racer, a 1999 LucasArts video game, in which it was known as Desolation Alley.[5]
