A type of oven used to cook bread, an old-style bread oven[1] consisted of a cream-colored body with a rectangualr front face. In the top left corner of that face was a gray panel with an alcove below it in the bottom left. A series of red and green lights then ran up right side of the device's front face.[2] When they hosted a group of offworlders during a sandstorm[1] in 32 BBY,[3] the enslaved Humans Shmi Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker had an old-style bread oven installed on the wall above their kitchen counter in their home on Slave Quarters Row in the city of Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine.[1]
Behind the scenes
A thermic baster appeared in the 1999 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.[2] The item was first identified in the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund and illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen.[1]
