The occupation of Kashyyyk was launched on the planet Kashyyyk by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the time of the Clone Wars,[1] around 19 BBY,[2] the final year of the war.[3] Amid the occupation, members of the neighboring Trandoshan species located and captured several of the native Wookiees and became appointed slave masters for the Confederacy, while also establishing several permanent enslavement camps on the planet's surface. Eventually, the numerous incursions and attacks fought during the occupation led to the deployment of battle droid forces to Kashyyyk in a full-scale invasion by the Confederacy, resulting in the Battle of Kashyyyk shortly after.[1]
