Manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems,[1] Obsidian 1 was the lead TIE/ln starfighter of the Galactic Empire's Obsidian Squadron. Piloted by Civé Rashon, who operated under the call sign "Howlrunner" and the designation OS-72-1, Obsidian 1 at one point flew over Cloud City[2] on the planet Bespin.[3]

Behind the scenes

Obsidian 1 originated as a TIE/LN starfighter prop for the 1980 original trilogy film Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.[4] The starfighter was later brought into Star Wars Legends canon by a card in the 1998 Special Edition Limited expansion set of Decipher's Star Wars Customizable Card Game.[2]
