- ―Kay Vess, O'Urr'Akk, and Hoss[1]
O'Urr'Akk was the leader of a group of Tusken Raiders on the desert planet Tatooine. After a group of bandits stole a krayt dragon pearl from the Tuskens, they took the Sullustan gunslinger Hoss, an associate of the bandits, hostage after he crashed a landspeeder. Hoping to exchange Hoss for the pearl, O'Urr'Akk and her people kept him prisoner in a small temporary camp near the speeder crash site.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] the thief Kay Vess approached the Tusken camp while searching for Hoss to recruit him for a job. Assuming that she was looking for the Sullustan, O'Urr'Akk had her people allow Vess to reach their camp by night before stopping her, at which point the thief was escorted to O'Urr'Akk's tent.[1]
The Tusken Raider emerged and addressed Vess in Tusken, which Hoss translated for the thief as he was brought forward by guards. Hoss explained that the Tuskens wanted the pearl returned, but that he was not in fact a useful hostage as the bandits had thrown him out. Vess then agreed to retrieve the pearl from the Ancient Creature's Lair where the bandits were keeping it and O'Urr'Akk returned to her tent to await the thief's return. Hoss was kept imprisoned, but allowed to contact Vess via comlink while she was in the cave, providing more details to her and informing her that the Tusken Raiders were weighing up their options while she was away.[1]
Once Vess contacted Hoss to confirm she had retrieved the pearl, the Sullustan told her to wait by the cave's back entrance. O'Urr'Akk arrived with a bantha, three other Tuskens, and Hoss at dusk and after one of the other Tuskens accepted the pearl from Vess, O'Urr'Akk spoke in Tusken and gestured. Hoss translated for Vess, and claimed that the Tusken had said he was free, as long as the thief paid off his cantina tab. Not falling for the lie, Vess responded that Hoss should tell O'Urr'Akk that she could keep the Sullustan, at which point Hoss shrugged off the failed attempt while a Tusken undid his restraints. O'Urr'Akk and the other Tuskens then left with the pearl.[1]
