Nullicaine was a powerful anesthetic that could be sprayed onto bandages or injuries to nullify pain. It did little to treat injuries, but could address many of the symptoms in the short term. It was used to keep soldiers fighting despite their wounds.[1]

Behind the scenes

Nullicaine was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Forged in Battle,[1] a 2016 sourcebook for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2] It originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity where it first appeared in the 2004 book MedStar II: Jedi Healer, the second book in the MedStar Duology, written by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry.[3]
