Nubarron was a non-binary[1] Jedi Master of an unidentified species who served as the Shipmaster and quartermaster of Starlight Beacon during the High Republic Era. An amorphous being who resembled a cloud and was capable of generating their own lightning, Master Nubarron could only communicate telepathically with other Force-users. Their coloring shifted with their emotions and included lavender when calm, pink-and-purple when displeased, and scarlet when growing more heated. When the Jedi was not hovering, they had a tall cylindrical jar they could sink into.[2]
Due to Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh's habit of crashing starships she was assigned, Nubarron refused to let her use any more of their starships. They were frustrated that Rwoh had lost a Vector to the Nihil, and that she had promised to return a particular junk hauler in reasonable condition, but she instead completely destroyed[2] the Varonchagger when she crashed during the attack on Valo.[3] Afterward, Nubarron ordered a ban on issuing any ships to Rwoh.[2]
Biography
Nubarron lived during the High Republic Era. As a youngling, they were found by a circus, which kept them as an exhibit, not knowing Nubarron was a sentient being because they could only communicate telepathically. Eventually, a Jedi Wayseeker visited the circus, and Nubarron was able to communicate with them, demanding to be freed. Subsequently joining the Jedi Order, Nubarron eventually rose to the rank of Jedi Master.[2]
When the space station Starlight Beacon opened in 232 BBY,[4] Nubarron came to serve as the station's quartermaster[2] and Shipmaster,[3] in charge of the complement of Jedi starships stationed there.[2]
Personality and traits
Nubarron was a non-binary[1] individual of an unknown species, who appeared as a small storm cloud who shifted colors depending on their mood, typically ranging between pink, purple, and red. They refused to reveal what their species was, although some speculated they were from a previously unknown race of Filar-Nitzan.[2]
Powers and abilities
A Force-sensitive, Nubarron was skilled enough to attain the rank of Jedi Master. Physically capable of wielding a lightsaber, they practiced their lightsaber combat skills regularly.[2]
Equipment
Nubarron owned a green-bladed lightsaber. A tall jar was kept in the quartermaster's office on Starlight Beacon for them to rest in.[2]
