Northern Mustafarians were a subspecies of Mustafarians, being one of two. Northern Mustafarians were taller and thinner than their southern counterparts. Both subspecies of Mustafarian evolved from extremophile arthropods that were living in caves in dormant volcanoes. Both species could resist the heat from common blaster fire, but they both required armor to keep them safe near the lava flows of Mustafar.[1]
