"Mr. Solo, I am Brother Xando. My sect and I are on a pilgrimage to Norclune, the holy planet. We seek passage on your ship."
―Xando[3]

Norclune[3] was located in the Norclune system,[1] a part of the Northern Dependencies portion of[2] the Colonies.[1]

Members of the Norclu Order underwent a pilgrimage to Norclune.

It was a planet that was considered a holy world by the Norclu Order.[3] In 0 BBY,[4] a group of alien members of the order, including Brother Xando, sought passage from[3] the Outer Rim Territories planet Tatooine[5] as part of a pilgrimage to Norclune. To that end, Xando and their fellow members of the Norclu Order approached the Human smuggler Han Solo in Tatooine's Chalmun's Cantina. Xando expressed their hope that Solo would provide the group with passage to Norclune for free as a gift to the Living Force, and the alien further proclaimed that both the smuggler and[3] his[5] starship would receive blessings after arrival at their destination. Solo, however, countered with a claim that the lengthy trip would be costly as well as an expression of his lack of belief in the Force, and the smuggler refused the request.[3]

Norclune was introduced in the comic story "Smuggler's Blues."

Norclune was mentioned in "Smuggler's Blues," a comic story written by the Fillbach Brothers and included in the fourteenth issue of the comic book series Star Wars Tales by Dark Horse Comics,[3] published on December 11, 2002.[6] Plausible stories in the first through twentieth issue of Star Wars Tales were deemed S-canon until referenced in a non-Tales source, at which point the subject matter was elevated to C-canon status.[7]

Jason Fry,[8] co-author of the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas,[5] has stated that the star systems listed in the book's Appendix section are named after the most prominent planets or celestial bodies located in those systems. This article therefore considers the existence of Norclune to be canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[8] The Essential Atlas placed the Norclune system in grid square L-8.[2]
