A nogull was a type of bird found at the Fekunda Outpost. Because nogulls enjoyed consuming phareen, a grain crop, workers at the outpost attached nets around the plant to prevent it from being eaten by the birds.[1] Around 5 BBY[2] in an attempt to frustrate the efforts of the occupying Galactic Empire, residents of the Fekunda Outpost took extra time to net the phareen to protect it from the nogulls.[1]

Behind the scenes

Nogulls were first mentioned in the third issue of the Star Wars: Forces of Destiny comic series, which was written by Devin Grayson and illustrated by Eva Widermann. Although never illustrated in the comic, the characters mentioned the birds as a potential danger to the phareen crop.[1]
