A Sienar Fleet Systems employee served as supervisor to Niya, a human[1] assigned to the upkeep of the secretive TIE Avenger prototype[2] the company was developing for the Galactic Empire at Sienar Test Facility 73[1] on the planet designated 73.[3] After joining the rebel Axis network, Niya helped the rebel agent Cassian Andor infiltrate the facility in order to steal the fighter prototype in 4 BBY.[1] She[2] informed Andor that they would need to wait for her supervisor to leave before he could take the starship but reassured the agent that he never stayed late. Andor then successfully stole the prototype.[1]

Behind the scenes

Niya's supervisor was mentioned in "One Year Later," the first episode in the second season of the live-action series Andor, which was released on Disney+[1] on April 22, 2025.[4]
