Nimi Chireen was a human female Resistance pilot from the planet Jaymir.
Biography
Chireen destroys a turbolaser battery of an enemy ship.
Nimi Chireen was recruited into the Resistance by Ello Asty alongside her brother Aarton. Chireen was held in reserve until after the Battle of Crait, when she rejoined the remaining Resistance fighters.[1] In 35 ABY,[3] Chireen was at the Resistance base and had just been assigned her own T-70 X-wing starfighter.[4] Commander Poe Dameron believed she had great potential.[5] After the Battle of Exegol and the destruction of Darth Sidious and the Sith Eternal, she joined in the victory celebrations.[2]
Behind the scenes
Nimi Chireen first appeared in the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, the third and final installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. She was played by British actress Mimi Ndiweni, who was credited as "Resistance Officer".[2] The character's first name is similar to the actress' name.
