The family of Commander Nash Windrider of the Galactic Empire was a human bloodline native to the planet Alderaan. Other members of the family included Nash's father, who made carpets for a living.[1] In 1 BBY,[2] the family was all but wiped out during Alderaan's destruction by the Death Star battle station's superlaser, leaving Nash as the sole surviving member of his bloodline.[1]
