Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A species of non-sentient tree-dwellers evolved in the fungus forests of Narq, a planet located in the Colonies region of the galaxy. Their overall blue coloration helped them blend with their habitat. Eventually, they evolved into the sentient Narquois species, who retained their precursors' vivid coloration.[1]

Behind the scenes

The precursor species to the Narquois were first mentioned in the reference book Star Wars: Aliens of the Galaxy, which was written by Jason Fry[1] and released on August 23, 2016.[2]
