Naorstrachem was a synthetic memory material that activated upon entering atmosphere. The Tangle Gun 7 produced by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. and available during the Galactic Civil War fired naorstrachem pellets that expanded into a broad net that would then contract upon hitting a target. In some cases overconsriction could lead to the death of the netted individual, although the weapon was advertised as non-lethal.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, naorstrachem was mentioned in the 2019 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement Gadgets and Gear, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The material originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Cracken's Rebel Field Guide, a 1991 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game that was written by Christopher Kubasik and published by West End Games.[2]
