Nanta's tree

Nanta's tree was a tree in Bright Tree Village on the forest moon Endor where Nanta—an Ewok who aspired to become a Storykeeper—recorded his stories by carving them into the tree's bark. Located near the Hut of Healing, Nanta discovered it after injuring himself on a sharp stone and then used the stone to begin writing on its trunk. After Nanta's death in the Battle of Endor^[1] in 4 ABY,^[2] Nanta's friend Romba went to the tree and compiled many of the stories carved onto it into the "The Ballad of Nanta," which became a legendary Ewok tale.^[1]
