"This is yours. I've been hearing of the Ewok who writes tales in this tree—a future Storykeeper, they say."
"That is me—I am called Nanta."
―Romba and Nanta, on the carvings on Nanta's tree[1]

Nanta's tree was a tree in Bright Tree Village on the forest moon Endor where Nanta—an Ewok who aspired to become a Storykeeper—recorded his stories by carving them into the tree's bark. Located near the Hut of Healing, Nanta discovered it after injuring himself on a sharp stone and then used the stone to begin writing on its trunk. After Nanta's death in the Battle of Endor[1] in 4 ABY,[2] Nanta's friend Romba went to the tree and compiled many of the stories carved onto it into the "The Ballad of Nanta," which became a legendary Ewok tale.[1]
