The Nangilima was a starship in service to the Alliance to Restore the Republic shortly after the Battle of Yavin, and was called to assist in the evacuation of Yavin 4 by Admiral Gial Ackbar. Mon Mothma, who was on board the Esperance, sought to board the Nangilima in order to get to Yavin 4 as soon as possible, as the Nangilima was to jump to Yavin 4 within the hour.[1]
Behind the scenes
The name "Nangilima" comes from the children's fantasy novel The Brothers Lionheart by Astrid Lindgren, where it is the name of a realm of the dead.
