A nameless moon was located in the Unknown Regions.[1] At some point by approximately 3643 BBY,[2] a terrible naval battle was fought above the moon between forces of two cults—the Knell of Muspilli, a death cult[1] from[3] the Unknown Regions[4] location known as the Gunninga Gap,[3] and the Warriors of Shadow,[1] a priestly sisterhood of the Taung[3] species[5] that had fled to the Unknown Regions from[3] the Core Worlds planet Coruscant during the latter's prehistory.[5] In the aftermath of the battle, wreckage, including derelict starships, remained at the moon.[1]
Around 3643 BBY,[2] an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire sent a companion to the nameless moon to study the wreckage of the battle. Aboard one of the remaining ships, the companion discovered an artifact belonging to one of the two cults.[1]
Behind the scenes
The nameless moon was mentioned in an Archaeology Crew Skill mission of Star Wars: The Old Republic, a 2011 video game developed by BioWare, though the information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[1]

- ↑ 2.0 2.1 Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Battle of Terror" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY.
