Naboo crystals were dazzling purple crystals found on the Mid Rim planet Naboo.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the crystals were offered as gifts to friends of Royal House of Naboo,[1] the governing body of the Naboo people.[3]
In 3 ABY,[2] the thief Kay Vess found a Naboo crystal in a container aboard the Trailblazer, an EML-850 light freighter, which she stole from the leader of the Zerek Besh crime syndicate while fleeing from the syndicate's Westhill Palace on the Outer Rim planet Cantonica.[1]
Behind the scenes
Naboo crystals appeared in the current Star Wars canon continuity as part of the "Naboo Nobility" cosmetic expansion for the video game Star Wars Outlaws, which was developed by Massive Entertainment, published by Ubisoft,[1] and released on May 15, 2025.[4] In the game, the crystal can be used as a trinket to customize the appearance of the Trailblazer and the player's S57 Cardinal speeder bike.[1]
Naboo crystals were originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity; first being mentioned in the short story "Odds" written by Karen Traviss[5] and published on April 17, 2006[6] in the eighty-seventh issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine.[5] They later appeared in the novel Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines, the second novel in the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series, which was also written by the Karen Traviss[7] and published August 29, 2006.[8]
