The N-4 noise grenade was a type of grenade produced by Merr-Sonn during the Galactic Civil War. It offered a nonlethal solution in situations where killing could lead to diplomatic or tactical complications. When deployed, it released a powerful burst of sound across the spectrum, causing intense but temporary pain in most sentient species. Although the noise lasted only a few seconds, its lingering effects gave the user a crucial moment to escape or take control of the situation.[1]
Behind the scenes
The N-4 noise grenade was first mentioned in Desperate Allies, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2015.[1]
