Mygeeto Burns was a painting[2] created after 104 ABY[1] that depicted the Battle of Mygeeto during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In the center of the painting, a Jedi stood on a rock with their blue lightsaber ignited, facing a Separatist LM-432 crab droid. Another figure knelt behind the Jedi. The background of the painting featured a burning Mygeetan city, and throughout it numerous Jedi were engaged in combat with other crab droids.[2]
Behind the scenes
- "A series of full page paintings capture the amazing vistas around the galaxy, including a battle on Mygeeto, refugees on Alderaan, an immense Jedi museum and much more."
- ―A preview description of "Celestia Galactica Photografica"
Mygeeto Burns was created for "Celestia Galactica Photografica," a collection of in-universe illustrations by Ryan Church included in the graphic novel anthology Star Wars: Visionaries.[2] The painting was first mentioned in a preview for Visionaries published on StarWars.com on March 15, 2005. The graphic novel was released on April 2, 2005,[3] with Mygeeto Burns used as its cover illustration.[2] The painting was also used as interior cover art in issues of the Star Wars Legends Epic Collection published by Marvel Comics that included other stories from Visionaries. The first comic to do this was Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Clone Wars Vol. 1,[4] published on December 28, 2016.[5]

Notes and references
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 "Celestia Galactica Photografica" was included in Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: Legacy Vol. 4, which describes the stories it contains as taking place more than a century after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. That film took place in 4 ABY according to The Essential Atlas, meaning that all paintings in "Celestia Galactica Photografica," including Mygeeto Burns, must have been created after 104 ABY.
