Motesta Oasis was a freshwater oasis on Tatooine located near the settlement of Motesta, on the edge of the Jundland Wastes between Arnthout and the Jawa Heights. The Imperial Major Brega sent an asset of the Empire's to assault the Sand People present there, in order to secure the location for the Imperial cause. Several water mains were temporarily damaged in order to cut off the flow of water to other Sand People settlements in the region, but were deliberately not destroyed entirely so as to ensure the water could still be tapped by the Empire after the takeover.
