"Inquisitors on Tatooine. Image reproduced by Mos Eisley Chronicle #27635."
―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[1]

The Mos Eisley Chronicle was a periodical associated with[1] the city Mos Eisley on the desert planet Tatooine.[2] In Mos Eisley Chronicle #27635, the periodical reproduced an image showing[1] the arrival of the Imperial Inquisitors known as the Grand Inquisitor, the Third Sister, and the Fifth Brother in Mos Eisley in the Phi-class shuttle[3] Scythe[2] in 9 BBY.[4] In 35 ABY,[5] the historian Beaumont Kin used this image in[1] his[2] book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, and credited the Mos Eisley Chronicle for it.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Mos Eisley Chronicle was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall. The book credits the periodical with having reproduced an image[1] that, out-of-universe, is a still from the first episode of the live-action Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi television series,[3] which aired on Disney+ on May 27, 2022.[6]
