Mos Eisley Chronicle #27635 was an issue of the Mos Eisley Chronicle periodical associated with[1] the city of Mos Eisley on the desert planet Tatooine.[2] The issue reproduced an image showing[1] the Grand Inquisitor, the Third Sister, and the Fifth Brother—three members of the Imperial Inquisitorius—arriving in Mos Eisley in the Phi-class shuttle[3] Scythe[4] in 9 BBY.[5] In 35 ABY,[6] the historian Beaumont Kin used the image in[1] his[7] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire and credited Mos Eisley Chronicle #27635.[1]
Behind the scenes
Mos Eisley Chronicle #27635 was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall. The book credits the issue with having reproduced an image[1] that, out-of-universe, is a still from the first episode of the live-action Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi television series,[3] which aired on Disney+ on May 27, 2022.[8]

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi — "Part I", which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 9 BBY.
- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
