The Morgania system was located in the Yminis sector,[1] a part of the Slice portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was home to the sentient Morganian species.[3][4]
Behind the scenes
The "Morgan system,"[5] in reference to the Morganian species,[3] was first mentioned in "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article written by Glen Allison as a supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in Voyages SF 13. The article placed it in the Centrality sector[5] and is considered noncanonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[6] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry named the system that was the origin point of the Morganians "Morgania" and placed it in grid square S-14.[2]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the Morgania system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Morganian species.

Lucasfilm treats material from the various unlicensed roleplaying game magazines as non-canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity, with the only exceptions being the existence of those worlds and star systems that are referenced in The Essential Atlas and its StarWars.com Online Companion, and any other details that were referenced in, and thus canonized by, an official source.
