The Mod V cyberarm or Cyberarm Mod V was a make of cybernetic arm made by BioTech Industries, the leading manufacturer in cybernetic body parts. The limb was designed to replace an arm lost in an accident, and was compatible with hundreds of different species. The Mod V also provided greater strength than most organic arms, and as a result some individuals "upgraded" their natural, healthy, organic limbs with cybernetic replacements. The model was available for 10,000 credits in the period following the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[1]
