Mobile bacta units were a type of portable bacta tank that could be worn as a backpack and used to spray bacta through an attatched hose. During the reign of the Galactic Empire,[1] the Sith Lord[2] Darth Vader had range troopers of the Galactic Empire's range corps equipped with mobile bacta units and deployed to the Unknown Regions planet Uokara. There, the troopers used the units to spray down the world's surfaces in order to eradicate the pathogen Ghymnon, who covered the entire surface of the world from sea to sea, with large hovering bacta tanks also pouring bacta into the planet's waters.[1]

Mobile bacta units appeared in "The Inhabitant," a story written by Steve Orlando, illustrated by Paul Davidson, and published in the comic book Darth Vader – Black, White & Red 4[1] on July 26, 2023.[3]
