Mithra was a rocky planet of tormented landscapes, full of rare elements including Ytterbium. Between 34 ABY, the planet, along with Gilkahande, Vélane and the Industrial Monad of Fenzy, was linked to Müller Menskovar, a failed Jedi and later senator, who supported Palpatine in his dark projects.[1]

Behind the scenes

Mithra appeared in the 1989 RPG adventure, "Prélude...", published in the fifteenth issue of the French magazine Chroniques d'Outre Monde. Therein, the planet was stated to be thirty standard days from the current position of the Rebel fleet and fourteen days travel from Gilkahande according to the Astrogation gazetteer included with the adventure.[1] The planet shares its name with the realm of Mithra, Jim Henson's original name for the planet Thra from 1982's The Dark Crystal, a film he co-directed with Frank Oz.[2]
