In 0 BBY,[2] a Platypus agent of the Alliance to Restore the Republic Perry infiltrated the Galactic Empire's modified Star Destroyer and stole the plans for their Death Star superweapon.[1]
Behind the scenes
The mission to steal the Death Star plans appeared in Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars, a non-canon special crossover with the Disney Channel series Phineas and Ferb.[1] The special premiered on July 26, 2014.[3]
Within the Star Wars canon,[4] the mission to steal the Death Star plans predated[1] the Battle of Scarif, the climatic showdown in the Star Wars Anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, released on December 16, 2016.[5] Much like the mission in the special,[1] the Battle of Scarif was the battle in which the Rebel Alliance managed to steal the plans for the Death Star.[5] Unlike the special, in which the mission consists on a space battle,[1] Rogue One has the battle take place on the ground of Scarif.[5]
