A mission to undertaken by the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars to prevent General Grievous from activating an ancient super weapon buried on Mustafar that would release a deadly virus in the galaxy.[1]

Having learned of the existence of the superweapon, Grievous planned to rebel against Count Dooku. To this end, Grievous employed a battle droid designated EG-07 with locating the superweapon. After EG-07 discovered it was buried on Mustafar, Grievous placed a battlesphere in the atmosphere of the planet. By the time the Jedi Order had learned of Grievous's plans and tracked the weapon to Mustafar, Grievous had excavated the weapon and was planning to use the battlesphere's lasers to charge the weapon's long depleted power source.[1]

The Jedi proceeded to dispatched Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Kit Fisto and Commander Cody to disrupt the sphere's three firing platforms. After the first two platforms were successfully disabled, EG-07 confronted Skywalker and Tano at the third, delaying them long enough for the platform to fire and charge the weapon. As their last hope, Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Yoda were deployed separately to the planet to make it down to the weapon and prevent its firing. Having made it to the control room, Windu was able to engage Grievous and defeat him. However before Grievous retreated he activated the weapon. However Windu's delay of Grievous gave Yoda the time to make it to the weapon's core which he was able to destroy.[1]

While working to disable the third platform, Skywalker and Tano were confronted by EG-07 who despite being defeated was able to delay the Jedi long enough for the weapon to be recharged. The Jedi proceeded to deploy Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Yoda to the planet and from there each worked their way down to the weapon where Windu was able to engage Grievous in the control room. Before Grievous was defeated by Windu and forced to retreat he activated the weapon however during the duel Yoda was able to reach and destroy the weapons core. Dooku later learned of Grievous's treachery but decided to forgive Grievous as his actions served as a distraction for the Jedi and allowed Dooku to progress is own plans.[1]
