During the Mandalorian civil war between the Mandalore the Avenger's faction and the Hidden Chain around 3625 BBY,[5] Mandalore the Avenger undertook a mission to Mek-Sha to track down Heta Kol, a renegade Mandalorian who had recently ambushed her prized ship, the Spirit of Vengeance II. Heta Kol vanished after the attack and Shae's goal was to find her and bring her to justice. Shae was following leads that would eventually point her towards Dar'manda, the mercenary group led by Indigo.[4]
