- "The Trade Federation brought us into the Republic, though they did so at the expense of my world's resources."
- ―Luminara Unduli, to Qui-Gon Jinn
Mirial was a cold, dry planet located near the Hydian Way.[9] It was the homeworld of the Mirialans,[4] including Luminara Unduli.[10]
History
The Mirialans joined the galactic community prior to 3951 BBY. During the Jedi Civil War, Mirial aligned with the Sith Empire, returning to the Republic after Darth Malak's death.
When the Great Galactic War began, Mirial became a safe haven for many refugees from the Outer Rim.[11]
At the time of the Cold War, a tectonic gap on Mirial revealed an underground city with ineffable riches.[5]
The planet later fought in a war against a neighboring planet, and triumphed, thanks in part to Arwen Cohl.
During the Clone Wars, the planet was located within Separatist space.
The planet was later under the control of the Galactic Empire.
