The Mining Outpost was a settlement on the moon Yavin IV.
Characteristics
The outpost was little more than a small, enclosed settlement. Some notable structures within the confines of the outpost included a small cantina, hotel, medical center, and spaceport.[1]
History
This outpost was established by the Galactic Empire after they captured Yavin IV from the Rebel Alliance.[1]
Some notabe residents of the outpost during this time included Gardo Valdell, Jazeen Thurmm, Breac Slaus, Osae Meilea, Zelma and Rebel Colonel Verks.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Mining Outpost is one of three small outposts on Yavin IV in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies that has its own spaceport. The other two settlements that have a spaceport in the game are the Labor Outpost and the Imperial Fortress.
