The Mining Guild Freighter was a modified type of Darius G-class freighter that was active during the Imperial Era and the New Republic Era. During the age of the Galactic Empire, the Mining Guild Freighter was used by the Pyke Syndicate and Hutt Clan as a transport and warship. Later in the New Republic Era, many freighters formed part of the Citizens' Fleet that participated in the Battle of Exegol.

Characteristics

The Mining Guild Freighter[3] was a modified version of the Darius G-class freighter. The freighter was equipped with three sublight engines mounted triangularly, a hyperdrive and had external cargo holds on the port and starboard sides. The bridge was located on the bow of the ship,[1] and bore a physical resemblance to the bow of a Consular-class space cruiser.[4] It was armed with at least two twin laser cannons, which were located below the bridge on either side.[1]

The freighter was active during the Imperial Era, seeing service with civilians,[1] the Mining Guild,[3] and the Pyke Syndicate. The Pykes utilized the ship in combat in support of their criminal operations.[1] Later during the war between the First Order and the Resistance, many of these starships joined the Citizens' Fleet that was assembled by General Lando Calrissian to aid the Resistance against the forces of the Sith Eternal during the Battle of Exegol alongside standard Darius G-class ships.[2]

The Mining Guild Freighter was first seen in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker[2] and identified as such in the clip "A Final Alliance" behind the scenes featurette that came with the Target exclusive of the home video.[5]
