- "In the Pressylla system, for example, Governor Hast Ulim closed many industries to ensure that the now unemployed civilian population would enter the strategically important mines as the only employment option."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
A Mining Bill was passed in the Pressylla system of the Outer Rim Territories as part of efforts by Governor Hast Ulim of the Galactic Empire to force the population of the star system to work in its mines, as they were of strategic importance to the Empire. The bill was stored as a file in the "Industry" section of the Pressylla Archives and later cited by the historian Beaumont Kin in[1] his[2] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire,[1] in 35 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Mining Bill was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
