The Mimbanese Liberation Army, also known as the Mimbanese guerrillas, was a resistance group of Mimbanese led by the tribal leader Iasento, that in the early Imperial Era fought against the Galactic Empire during it's campaign to conquer their homeworld Mimban. The group had their origin during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, where Iasento's tribe was armed and trained by the Republic's 224th Division in order to battle Separatist invaders of the planet. Following the end of the Clone Wars, Iasento was forced to continue fighting[1] as the leader[2] of the Mimbanese Liberation Army against a pacification campaign by the Galactic Empire's Moff Bin Essada, who was attempting to strip Mimban of its resources like hyperbaride minerals and in doing so destroyed it's climate and plant life.[1]
The Liberation Army camouflaged themselves with natural materials to disappear in the mud of the battlefields and utilized old Clone Wars era equipment and weapons like[1] the "Mimbanese blasters"[3] or F-78 blaster rifles, which they modified with vibrobayonets[1]
